Work alongside experienced professionals as an HM Health Solutions intern. You’ll take on real challenges within the information technology sector built to enhance your education, and you’ll gain meaningful, hands-on experience by applying your existing skills and obtaining new ones.
Your 10- to 12-week internship gives you the ability to jump-start your career in health care. You’ll make a direct business impact through projects and team assignments that intersect with multiple business units and leaders throughout the company. You’ll have networking opportunities within HM Health Solutions and throughout the broader Highmark Health enterprise. And you might even be able to earn class credit or extend your internship. EMERGING LEADERS PROGRAM
As an Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) associate, you’ll enter the health care IT field, and with the chance to be accepted into the program months before you graduate, you’ll gain bragging rights over your peers.
You’ll be assigned to four development rotations over the course of two years in each of the following tracks: Application Development, Information Technology Operations and Security, Project Management, and Business Analysis. After completing a rotation, you’ll have a broader organizational understanding that will influence where you can move on to in the company. And you’ll be ready to take the next step in your HM Health Solutions career.
CONSULTING ROTATIONAL PROGRAM
As an associate in the graduate-level Consulting Rotational Program (CRP), you’ll spend 18 months in our Consulting Services organization located in our Pittsburgh office, rotating through different teams to develop core skills and gain experience. You’ll learn how to deliver health care technology solutions on budget, on time, and to the highest standards to ensure client satisfaction.
CRP associates have the opportunity to participate in each of the following tracks: Practice Team, Solutioning, Planning Team, Client Delivery, Integrated Planning and Delivery, and Change Management. This program focuses on building knowledge across Consulting and will provide you a diverse work experience that will prepare you for your HM Health Solutions career.
