Brian Lucotch announced as HMHS’ new chief operating officer

Effective January 18, 2021, HM Health Solutions (HMHS) welcomed Brian Lucotch as the organization’s new chief operating officer (COO).

Brian comes to HMHS with over 20 years of industry expertise in mission-driven business, and technology and delivery operations leadership. A breakthrough innovator in health care services, Brian has a proven record of accomplishment that includes driving digital transformations and bringing next generation, value-based health solutions to market. “For more than 20 years, I have served as a key strategist and operational catalyst for creating substantial corporate value in enterprise-level health and technology businesses,” Brian says, “consistently designing, driving, and delivering scalable operations and transformation solutions and growth.”

Throughout his career, Brian has held numerous leadership positions with leading health care technology companies, such as Sharecare. Recently an executive vice president of Enterprise Operations, Brian supported over 50 customers and more than 14 million eligible lives on their health and wellness platform, responsible for designing and executing new product and platform visions and enabling scalable go-to-market efforts. Of his leadership experience, Brian’s colleague, Brian Woods, senior vice president, Enterprise, Sharecare, is quoted as saying, “A strategic thought leader, agile business integrator, and trusted operating partner at all levels, Brian is one of the hardest-working and most committed and caring leaders in the business.”

Founder of Digital Health Xcelerator, an independent consulting firm, for the past two years Brian has served as an executive advisor, as well as interim chief executive leader for new and leading health care navigator, provider, and platform companies. Through working with executives to identify and capture opportunities for business growth, operating efficiencies, and innovation, Brian has been responsible for leading the design, development, and phased deployment of strategic product, technology, and operational roadmaps and delivery teams.

As COO of HMHS, Brian is responsible for technical oversight and productive delivery of the Enterprise Health Solution (EHS) Platform. Brian provides oversight of HMHS’ day-to-day operations, acting as a supervisor and leader, and empowers employees to carry out HMHS’ mission of enabling an innovative and secure technology experience that simplifies health for all. A highly focused and health-forward leader, Brian centers on achieving and exceeding objectives in customer value creation, Platform innovation, and operational performance. Deeply passionate about improving the member and patient health journey, Brian deepens the patient and provider connection through the utilization of digital, virtual care solutions powered by automation, analytics, and artificial technology.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master of Science from Georgetown University, and certification in Leading Professional Service Firms from the Harvard Business School - Executive Education. 

Brian currently resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, just north of Philadelphia, with his wife and three daughters, where he enjoys the outdoors, fitness and training, and traveling with his family. As a native of western PA, Brian still has a lot of family in the area, loves the Black and Gold, and looks forward to getting back to the Steel City soon.
